Luna Ash is a black smoke Maine Coon girl raised here at Coonspire. When she was little, her coat looked almost completely black in some photos. The silver was there, but it was much easier to notice when she was walking around or when the coat opened along her neck and sides. She was one of those smoke kittens whose color looked quite different depending on the light.

Luna usually liked to watch for a moment before getting involved. If something new was brought into the room, she would sit nearby and look at it first, then slowly move closer once she decided it was safe. She was never truly timid—she just seemed to like knowing what was going on before joining everyone else.

She also wasn’t the type to constantly climb onto people for attention. Most of the time, she would stay close, follow us around, or settle down beside someone. Once she became comfortable, she was very sweet and enjoyed being touched, but she preferred to come over in her own way. That quiet, thoughtful side of her is what I remember most.
